Swiss Chalet Hamburgers


 

Ingredients

Original recipe makes 4 servings

2 lbs. Ground Beef

2 Tbsp. Swiss Chalet Dressing

½ Tsp. Dry Tarragon

 

Salt and Pepper to Taste

½ Yellow Onion, sliced

1 Cup Hot Water


Directions
  1. Knead Salt and Pepper into the Ground Beef.  Add Swiss Chalet Dressing and Dry Tarragon.  Form into patties.  Brown onion in bacon drippings (remember this recipe is from the 40’s!).  Remove onion and quickly brown the patties on each side.  Add 1 cup of hot water to pan with patties.  Cover and steam until done.  Serve with juice from pan and top with onions.
